IVA - Getting Debt Under Control

Take out all of your bills from credit cards, university loans, car financing, mortgage payments and anything else you pay on a monthly basis.

Write it all out on a piece of paper or enter it on a spreadsheet on your computer. See if there’s anything there that you can afford to pay off right away, especially something incurring the highest interest rates. This will reduce your monthly payment right from the start and make using an IVA easier and more cost-effective. If you can’t pay the bills now, you will need to cut your total monthly outlay down to a workable number. Next, figure out how much you can realistically afford to pay to your creditors now and long into the future until all the debt is paid off. This will take a little effort to work and rework the numbers of all your monthly expenses to find the right formula that will get you back into the black.
